Professor Djordjevic received the Dipl. Ing. (5 years), M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Nis, Faculty of Electronic Engineering, in 1996, 1999 and 2005, respectively. He is a Full Professor at the Department of Telecommunications, Faculty of Electronic Engineering in Nis, with research and teaching interests in the general area of statistical communication and information theory with applications in wireless RF and free-space optical communication systems, as well as satellite fixed and mobile communications. He is an author of more than 60 journal papers published in journals from SCI list and 150 conference papers. He has been a reviewer for several IEEE journals and has taken part in numerous conferences as a reviewer, session chairman, or invited speaker. He was a guest editor of Applied Sciences (IF2017=1.689) for the special issue devoted to optical wireless communications. He is a member of the IEEE.
