Influence of receiver imperfections on signal detection in diversity systems. Application of error correction codes in combination with diversity reception.
Free space optical communication systems: Application of different modulation techniques and error correction codes. Hybrid RF/FSO and mixed RF/FSO systems. Determination of bit error rate, capacity and outage probability.
Satellite communications: Fixed and mobile services. Influence of co-channel interferences, imperfect reference signal recovery, high power amplifier nonlinearities on digital signal transmission over satellite channels. Application of error correction codes in satellite systems. Mixed satellite RF/FSO systems.
